2-Way Video Installation

This video installation was developed through a process of several lens based experimental films.  The initial instigator of the work was based on our hierarchical position in the universe. My interest in Astrophysics which is concerned with the physical nature of stars and other celestial bodies, and the application of the laws and theories of physics to the interpretation of astronomical observations drove the work on.



I was interested in subverting the ordinary, taking what we overlook everyday, and using it as a metaphor and art object.
 

The resolved work was a video installation that was suspended within space bringing subtly and ambiguity to the work.



I developed a series for this work using different base imagery and producing 3 separate installation videos.  Please see Urstoff S1, S2 & S3.
